The Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation held its 12th Annual Truman-Reagan Medal of Freedom and Embassy Reception at the Embassy of Latvia on September 8, 2011. Awards were presented to former President of Latvia Vaira Vike-Freiberga and Congressman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen for their unwavering dedication to combatting Communist regimes and to remembering those affected by life under Communist rule.
