Speakers on the first panel, "Baltics, EU, and U.S.: Transatlantic Engagement," focused on a series of pressing issues facing Europe and the United States in the years to come. Panelists included U.S. Ambassador to Latvia Judith G. Garber, Anders Aslund (The Peterson Institute), and Laszlo Deak (European Union Delegation to the United States). Incoming JBANC President Marju-Rink Abel served as panel moderator.
